1. Do I need a Green card at ANY cost ( Any cost = Waiting for yrs, Not willing to risk any other options, afraid to raise issues, not pinpointing flaws )
2. Willing to fight for justice.

For the option 2, here we go.I am new to this web site and it seems there are approx 70k people here and lot more outside. Hugh enough to create miracles.
Just to remind ourself who we are. We are Highly skilled LEGAL immigrants. It not only means we are skillful but it also means we pay every damn tax which is out there. We pay for welfare. We pay for unemployed. We pay for pensioners. List goes on. We pay fees for every application processed by USCIS ( Labor, I-140,I-485,I-765,I-131 etc etc ). We pay rent. We buy cars. We buy houses. In short, we are nothing but GOLD to this economy.
However, this one department called USCIS is literally toying with us for yrs now as if we are slaves or we are obligated to them. We dont want anyone to do us any favour. We need justice.
Friends - I have self respect and i wasn't born chanting Green Card. I AM going to face them, confront them, demand them to provide justice, if not I want them to REFUND every penny i have paid so far. If this "I AM" becomes "WE", half the battle won. TOGETHER WE STAND, VICTORY/JUSTICE FOR ALL. If you are still hesitant, you made a bad choice of choosing option 2. Please go back to option 1.

I opened a SR for non receipt of my FP notice, on 30Oct2007. I got a reply from USCIS exactly after 45 days ( very prompt) notifying me that " my FP has not yet expired or my FP is not yet cleared". Certainly this looks like a canned reply from USCIS which was sent even without looking at my file. I guess they should be more transparent in their process than just sending plain lies.

I have mentioned IV to a some Indians. They have no interest. Some of them are not bothered about retrogression. They exepect the GC to fall in their lap while they are sipping tea and eating samosa.
Also, it is hard to trust a mainly Indian set up. The Indian contracting companies have set a very shameless level. I told my friends that IV appears different but it is hard to change your opinion when you see something else 10 times a day.
I apolozie to the sensitive Indians if I this is breaking news. But this is the general feeling and a reason for hate in the blogs: where there is smoke there is fire. It is embarassing.
I agree completely. Sometimes you pay the price for unethical and arrogant natives from your motherland. I know of someone who thinks he is smarter than people of any other nationality.
But I like your nickname. I wear that as a badge of honor. :)

Adding dependents/derivative is based on primary�s PD and app status.
Challenge me with a scenario that will have an issue. If someone doesn�t have H4 they will be affected anyways. They will not have additional impact due to this.
Please read INA, I485 application and current VB.
I personally believe none will be affected and left too behind (yes, they will be delayed a bit, they will have AP/EAD to hold on to).
But add the Dependents to that. Now at least you wife is coming with you. Just think if there was no H4 visa.

Usually it is a maximum of 2 weeks. NSC approved some in 2 days.
FP notice in a month or so..
EAD 90 days minimum I guess. I don't know about the other one as I live in MI. we do not need anything like that here.

Lets not waste our energy on those who don't believe USCIS has done anything wrong or are content with the current state of immigration....lets focus on getting more and more support to this movement.
Ohh..BTW..i had another experience that I would like to share....Today, I went to renew my Driver's license which is expiring next week. I have already applied for H1-B extension. They did not renew my DL and sent it for immigration verification to SAVE(Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements). This process takes up to 3 months and till that time I have to stay without a DL. Worst part, when i went for my DL renewal last time..they did the same and I had to go thru the hardship without a DL for 3 months. I live alone..so imagine how I will live without driving here in US. I have been in US for 6 years and have 6 years of clean driving and immigration history.
I have another friend who went thru the same last year, his condition was even worse as his wife was pregnant at that time. The poor guy had to ask his friends for favors and hire cabs to take his wife to hospital for 3 months.
All of the above, because of the broken immigration system. If we don't raise a voice now,...when will we !!!!!

This is what my lawyer mailed us today (I have always had good service from him):
In my very initial thoughts, on July 2 and July 3, I believed the lawsuit had no chance; but in following this more closely and doing my own research, I think increasingly that the lawsuit has merit. USCIS and DOS appear to have violated various of its internal rules and arguably actual statutes and regulations in handling all this.
Not that I am holding my breath, but just wanted pass it on....
That's nice to hear. Can he guess what would be the likely outcome? If the judge just takes USCIS/DOS to task then it doesn't help us.

2. If not, will they allow everyone to file for EAD and AP?

I did and I got a response in mail saying there are extremely high volume of cases filed before me, that is why it is taking time.

I do not think transfer matters. Mine was filed directly with TSC because my lawyers reason: my I-140 was approved from there.

I am guessing that we will probably receive similar response as posted by sweet_jungle that they are waiting for local ASC. I don't think we will receive FP after notice 30 days but this kind of response. Maybe local ASC are scheduling peoples appointment based on their name check results. Otherwise why would people who applied on last day of filing , Aug 16,2007 receive FP notice from my local ASC and not me.
